Sergeant Margaret Martha Sophia Kruger was born in Kimberley, South Africa on 15th March 1914. On the 22nd January 1942 she enlisted in the Women's Auxiliary Army Service attached to the South African Pay Corps. During the war she served in Pretoria and and after serving a total of 5 years and 2 months she was discharged on 23rd March 1947.
