The 1939-1945 Star with clasp for Battle of Britain, The Africa Star with clasp for North Africa, The Defence Medal 1939-1945 & The War Medal 1939-1945 with Mention in Despatches Emblem. - Un-named group of medals to a Battle of Britain Pilot.
This medal group was picked up in Jersey in the 1970's, they were mounted as worn on ribbons that had disintegrated to the state that they were hardly able to hold up the medals, the Defence Medal had an RAF sweetheart badge pinned on the the ribbon. It is a great shame that they did not have any accompanying paperwork other than the two photographs shown.
