British War Medal 1914-20 & Victory Medal 1914-19 - Named to '302126 Pte M. Wood, Royal Scots'
Private Mendelssohn Wood served in the 19th (Labour) Battalion, Royal Scots (Lothian Regiment) This Battalion was known as the Bantam Regiment due to the small stature of the men. Private Wood was wounded in 1915 during the Battle of the Somme, he was also my Grandfather.
